Fireside chat with Lost Women of Science

Join Dr. Michael Lomax, Carol Sutton Lewis, Dr. Helen Gayle, Dr. Chad Womack, and Handshake's Aaliyah Goodman as they help tell the stories of women working in STEM including Yvonne Young Clark and the impacts of HBCUs within the STEM world. Representatives from LWoS, the UNCF and Spelman College came together for this “fireside chat,” hosted in partnership with Handshake. The group talked about each of their personal experiences with HBCUs, why those particular colleges and universities have so much success when it comes to graduating scientists, and the work that still needs to be done to make STEM accessible to every student who wants to pursue it.
