We honor the memory of Celia Ores (1928-2025), a decidedly NOT lost woman of science, whose dedication to the fields of pediatrics and cystic fibrosis extended and improved the lives of countless children.

Celia was also the person who inspired us to embark on Lost Women of Science, when she proudly told Amy about her extraordinary -- and unheralded -- mentor, Dorothy Andersen. Our first season, The Pathologist in the Basement, tells Andersen’s story.
